Hi, I'm Cara. I live in Rochester, New York and have been shooting food since 2010. My work emphasizes realist lighting, the human element, in-between moments, and genuine storytelling.
You might know me from my magazine, Chickpea. It’s an indie food publication that’s been in stores around the world, like Nordstrom and Anthropologie. It’s been featured on Saveur, Goop, Coolhunting, Vegnews, The Los Angeles Times, and many more. I’ve spoken on several panels and podcasts, including Eat Capture Share, Live Planted, The Food Seen, and Roc Girl Gang Becoming Boss.
You can hire me to photograph food for you, or teach you how to photograph it. See my services here.
